Senior Technical Programmer Job Details

10 Month Contract - Federal Government Department - ASAP Start - Canberra Location

This large Federal Government Department is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Programmer to join the team for a 10 month contract role.

The Specified Personnel will be required to provide, but not limited to, the following services:

• Conduct technical analysis and design.
• Develop High Level Design Documentation.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to develop Technical Specifications to meet the User Specifications.
• Construct code and conduct unit testing.
• Review and organise appropriate sign off for the Technical Specifications and Code.
• Mentor and coach junior staff.
• Keep adequate records of project documentation, key decisions and rationale for FMA purposes.
• Accountable to the Technical Manager.

To be successful in your application for this role, applicants should possess the following demonstrated skills and experience:

• Demonstrated commercial experience in developing applications for all of the following platforms:

1. IPhone
2. Android
3. Symbian

• Demonstrated extensive experience in delivering large scale, complex government solutions using JEE.
• Demonstrated understanding of the client's architecture (including the client's implementation of the WSDL and SOAP over HTTP technologies).

It is also highly desirable to possess the following demonstrated skills and experience:

• Understanding and experience with the client's frameworks (including the CIC framework).
• Comprehensive experience with Rational Clear Case and Rational Software Architect.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering application deliverables on time and of a high quality.
